The technique

The laser sends short pulses of light into the skin, breaking the unwanted pigment into tiny particles. Your body then gradually clears these away over the following weeks. Depending on your goal, we can lighten old work so it can be corrected with new semi-permanent makeup, or work towards removing it completely.

How I help

If your old brow tattoo has turned grey, blue, or orange, is too dark, or no longer suits you, it can feel like you're stuck with it. You're not. Laser removal gives you a fresh start, or a lighter base for beautiful new brows.

Who is it for?

Clients with old brow tattoos they want to lighten or remove, particularly darker pigments and larger areas.

HAVE QUESTIONS?

Leave your details and Kseniia will come back to you personally.

Does it hurt?

Most clients compare it to the snap of an elastic band. Each session is quick, and I keep you as comfortable as possible by cooling the area and applying organic aloe vera gel.

How do I prepare?

  • For four weeks before: avoid sunbathing and tanning, including fake tan on the area.
  • For one week before: avoid retinol, acids, and exfoliation on the area.
  • Tell me about any medication (some increase light sensitivity), medical conditions, or history of poor healing at your consultation, or email me via my contact page. Laser isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What happens while it heals?

HEALING TIME · THE SKIN USUALLY SETTLES BY THE NEXT DAY, AND YOU CAN WEAR BROW MAKEUP AGAIN FROM THE NEXT DAY. SEVERAL SESSIONS MAY BE NEEDED, SPACED FOUR TO SIX WEEKS APART. THE NUMBER DEPENDS ON THE PIGMENT'S COMPOSITION, HOW DEEP IT WAS PLACED, AND YOUR SKIN.

  1. Straight after

Very dark brow hairs may look white ("frosted") for a short time after the laser, then return to their normal colour. This is a normal process. There may be mild redness and slight swelling around the area, which usually goes away after an hour or so.

  2. Weeks 4–6

The skin settles, and the pigment fades gradually as your body clears it.

How do I look after them?

  • Keep the area clean. Apply a cold compress during the first two to three hours after treatment, then apply aloe vera to soothe the area.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, swimming, saunas, and hot baths for seven to ten days.
  • Protect the area from the sun, and use SPF once healed.
